Sapphire

The tang

against my cheek,

cold and harsh,

the lifeblood of oceans

long ago.

White stallions leap,

prancing, lively

on deck,

carousing with

my hands as I

grasp tightly at

the rigging.

I see

the sapphire wall

rise, awaiting

the fall.
